This week on The Blackshaw Arts Hour, Matt reviews the new Marvel film Ant Man starring Paul Rudd.
We hear from Helen who speaks to us about Harper Lee's new novel Go Set A Watchman as one half of Arts Thing Of The Week. Next up is Vikki giving us 5 top tips for the Edinburgh Fringe and also 5 top picks to go and see if you are heading up to Edinburgh.
The second half of this weeks show is all about new writing. The first piece, The Gates, written by Emily Jane Kerr and the second piece called Gertrude, written by Piotr Klinger.

This week on the Blackshaw Arts Hour, Vikki and Matt join Iasha in the studio. Matt reviews the film Minions and we hear a live recording of a piece of new writing performed at the most recent Blackshaw New Writing Night. The piece we played was called Beige and was written by Dan Weatherer, directed by Catherine Lord. Richard Malado played the part of Milton and Gayle was played by Hayley Marie Axe
Vikki's Arts Thing Of The Week this week was discussing the anticipation surrounding the news of a Harry Potter play entitled, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, due to hit the West End in the summer of 16'.
We also heard from Helen Johnson with a review of Bugsy Malone, and we chatted about child stage actors.
Hannah Puddfoot's piece of theatre, Slowdown was also played, in which Hannah wrote and performed herself with help from Ian Ward who created the sound.

This week on the Blackshaw Arts Hour, Matt reviews London Road and we are joined in the studio by Alexander Pankhurst and Rosie Marsh, two of the actors involved in Blackshaw's upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland.
We heard more interviews form the rest of the cast involved in the latest production of Alice in wonderland and also heard from writer Richard Stratton about why he choose to adapt Alice and the writing process.
Arts thing of the week had Vikki talking to us about the lack of jobs in the arts and we discussed in the studio what the difficulties surrounding this are.
Blackshaw's latest run of Alice in Wonderland will be at the Streatham Home as a part of the Streatham Festival on the 4th and 5th of July. Tickets can be found here

This week on the show Matt and Vikki join Iasha in the studio. Matt reviews Mad Max Fury Road and the Arts Thing Of The Week is Eurovision. We dissect this years Eurovision, welcome Australia to the competition and Vikki tells us the three golden rules to a winning act.
We played Corey Hulls' essay "The 9 Stages of Drinking" and Richard Stratton reviewed Carmen Disruption at the Almeida Theatre (Running until the 23rd of May)
Excitingly our production of Alice in Wonderland has secured a transfer to the Streatham Festival on the 4th and 5th of July. We heard some cast interviews from Steve Wickenden, Tegan Cutts and Rosie Marsh and also spoke about the fact that Blackshaw is turning 5 this coming Friday!

This week on the show, Ellie and Matt join Iasha in the studio to chat theatre and arts and bring you more information on what is happening at the Wandsworth Arts Festival
Matt reviews The Falling starring Maisie Williams and we chat a little bit about what our deal breakers are in films.
Vikki gave us her Arts Thing of the Week which is the Hay Festival taking place this year from the 21st to the 31st of May and we chatted about the writers we have seen give readings.
We played an interview with Richard Stratton who has adapted Lewis Carroll's classic novel Alice in Wonderland. Richard spoke to Helen Johnson about how and why he choose to adapt this particular story and the process he goes through as a writer.
Ellie and Iasha spoke about the WAF launch that took place last Friday night and some of the other pieces of theatre happening as a part of WAF 2015.
This week we spoke a lot about our production of Alice in Wonderland which is running until the 16th of May as a part of the Wandsworth Arts Festival. On this week's Blackshaw Arts Hour, Iasha is joined in the studio by Matt Boothman and new radio voice, Helen Johnson.
Matt kicks off the show with his review of Avengers - Age of Ultron and Vikki helps us discuss the BBC Proms series in this week's edition of Arts Thing of the Week.
With the opening of Richard Stratton's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland this coming Saturday (May the 2nd) we played The Walrus and The Carpenter read by Alexander Pankhurst, and then heard an interview with the show's Costume and Set Designer, Zahra Mansouri.
We heard an untitled poem by resident poet Daisy Thurston-Gent and finished the show off with our Alice in Wonderland audio trailer.

Join Iasha and Vikki this week for loads of new writing and theatre on The Blackshaw Arts Hour.
Vikki reviews John Wick in place of Matt's regular movie review.
We heard three pieces of new writing.
1. Slowdown was written and performed by Hannah Puddefoot
2. SMS was performed by Emily Jane Kerr and written by Marianne Powell
3. Have You Seen Spider-Man 2 was written by Joe Banks and performed by Grace Felton and Smith Lowe
Regular Arts Thing Of The Week was back and Vikki gave us info about Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Theatre Company and the run of plays he will be directing and starring in at the Garrick Theatre in the West End.
We also announced the winner of our Alice in Wonderland competition and had the first listen to our audio trailer for the production.

This week Iasha, Matt and Vikki are in the studio bringing you all the art and theatre you need for the week ahead. Matt reviews the latest film to come out of the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast & Furious 7.
We hear an essay from writer Corey Hulls relating his forming of a band in the 5th grade to the amazing production of film and art that was created in the year 1999.
We discuss plays adapted from books in this week's edition of Arts Thing Of The Week and hear Part two of The Whistling Room.

This week on the Blackshaw Arts Hour, Iasha, Ellie and Matt are in the studio reviewing the film It Follows. We hear from Vikki with another Arts Thing of The Week, this week we debate the usefulness and copyright issues surrounding the Clean Reader app.
We also announce the winner of the Blackshaw showcase New Writing Night and play a short live clip of Call It Even, the winning piece of new writing. Call It Even will be developed and performed in 2016.
Matt introduces us to another Carnacki story titled Whistling Room, part 2 of which will be played on the show next week. Tune in for the spooky conclusion!
